Selection Process

An individual may nominate him/herself, or may be nominated by an alumnus, or board member of Leadership Kentucky, Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, civic organizations or corporations. We recommend only one candidate per year be nominated by an organization/corporation. Applications will be mailed in December and must be returned by February 15.

Leadership Kentucky strives to maintain a geographical, occupational, ethnicity, age, and gender balance among the 50-55 participants selected each year. Leadership Kentucky is a competitive opportunity. Participants are selected based on their proven and potential leadership abilities, civic activity, concern for the community, volunteer leadership, and potential to help build a greater Kentucky.

Nominations may be submitted three ways:

2. Call or e-mail us to request an application be mailed to your applicant.

3. Download a nomination form which you can complete and mail or fax back to us. (Requires Adobe Acrobat Reader)

NOTE: Leadership Kentucky candidates must submit three recommendation forms. The Selection Committee will review recommendations and reply to candidate by April 1, 2006.
